Cylinder mount Counter Balance valves
Counterbalance valves are used in hydraulic systems working with overriding (running-away) or suspended load. They are designed to create back pressure at the return line of the actuator to prevent losing control over the load.
These are a compact design made specially for cylinder mounting. These use either a 9/16" uno or 3/4" uno Banjo bolt to attach to your cylinder port. The banjo comes in two halves as per photo. Screw one half into ram port, & then install banjo. You then need to pipe up to the other port (steel pipe by law) to acheive back pressure. These are available in single counterbalance, ie, load is controlled only in one direction, or Dual counterbalance where load is controlled from falling both directions. These feature high quality Sun Cartridges. Please see photo for correct installation diagrams. The A & B ports are 3/4" Uno & the 'pipe' port is also 3/4" Uno.
